About Slip-on Veneers
Veneers are made with a special porcelain that is inserted over the teeth to provide a bright, clean, new coloration and smoothness to your smile. Slip-on veneers are a technologically advanced type of veneer that requires no drilling – no pain medication – nothing but a visit to the dentist to make a mold impression and then another visit for the fitting. All the dentist will do is slip them on over your teeth and, instantly, you will have a new, showy smile for the world to admire. Just about as painless as being fitted for a new dress or a tuxedo!
Dr. Fox is a specialist in this revolutionary approach to smile enhancement. The slip-on difference is there is no need for sedation, no drilling or grinding on your teeth, and no pain. The “traditional” application of veneers usually involves a local or general sedative, then the dentist shaping your teeth (called “burring) to prepare them for an impression. The impression is taken and then sent to a dental laboratory for fabrication. On the next visit, the new veneers are inserted over your teeth. With slip-on veneers, we skip all the shots, gas and burring, and simply take an impression for the lab to work on. Plus, with Dr. Fox’s help, you will choose the exact shade of white for your new veneers. Then, on your next visit, the veneers are slipped on (and again, no drilling, no pain medication needed) and you’re done! All the staining, gaps, crookedness, chips and unevenness are gone. Not only that, but the slip-on technology is such that all your veneers can be slipped on at once – not just one at a time. They are reversible (they can be slipped off in the future, if a need arises) and are expected to last along time. Slip-on veneers are comfortable – no gum or teeth sensitivity concerns. You take care of them just like you would your regular teeth. The result – a fresh, new, lasting smile with none of the uncomfortableness involved in getting it!
